Here the shapes of the Hawaiian Islands appear, but land is water and water is land,
a vague allusion to global warming. But a deeper meaning for me is the gratifying relief
that sometimes comes with being out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, far away from the
seeming madness on the US mainland these days.
